"Positive Spin" is a news and public affairs television program that promotes positive, innovative and solution oriented news from around the world.

Segments of the show focus upon such topics as:

  • Solutions to local, national, and international problems;
  • Programs and projects that build sustainable communities;
  • Youth and children's perspectives on creating a better world;
  • Innovators in the performing and visual arts;
  • Positive uses of new communications technology.

"Positive Spin" has been airing for the past 17 years. The program airs nationally on FreeSpeech TV on DISH Network (with 35 million homes as subscribers) and DIRECT TV (with 20 million homes as subscribers.) In addition, FreeSpeech TV is carried on 200 cable stations throughout the United States.

The show's producer and host is Bill McCarthy, president of Unity Foundation.

The program is a media project of Unity Foundation, a non-profit organization with a 40-year history of promoting world peace, cooperation and unity. Unity Foundation was founded in 1976 for the purpose of promoting world peace, cooperation and unity. The foundation accomplishes its non-profit goals by producing television programs and documentaries, international media campaigns, global internet broadcasts, and through the production of special cultural and educational events.

Unity Foundation's programs are designed to create greater understanding, respect and appreciation for all races, cultures, faiths, lifestyles, and generations within the Human Family. Its goal is to bring together the Human Family into a state of unity with itself and with the earth. The Foundation also educates the public in the areas of positive, cooperative solutions to local, national and international problems.
